Medicare will provide a rebate of $84.80 per session for a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year for individual therapy. You must have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP prior to your first session in order to receive the Medicare rebate. Medicare do not provide rebates for couples or relationship counselling.
